Why We're Hiring This Role
Throughout our first decade in business, we’ve grown our client base organically. Over the last year, we’ve started to build out our own client growth engine, starting on the Marketing side. Our initial focus was building robust top of funnel and lead generation programs, including a 4,000+ member Slack community and a 7,000+ subscriber email newsletter. Now it’s time to layer on sales development into our mix.
Role Responsibilities
- Attract new prospects to support business by generating and nurturing leads from events, digital marketing channels, and engaging prospects by cold calling and email.
- Collaborate with others, such as Account Leadership, Marketing, and the Executive Team to identify customer needs and challenges
- Manage a pipeline of prospects and leads, collaborate with Client Services and Marketing to refine qualification criteria
- Support the broader organization towards meeting quarterly and annual sales revenue goals
- Refine, improve, and document best practices for future team members
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a BDR/SDR in mid-market segments, with enterprise preferred
- Understanding of sales and marketing funnels
- Experience with outbound prospecting (some inbound also a plus)
- Experience with selling to decision makers in tech and or e-commerce
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Creative and willing to actively contribute ideas and perspectives
- Highly motivated, driven and self-starting individual with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. Bamboo is early-stage and this is a founding BDR role, so this will happen often
- Ability to understand business requirements and organizational structure. We sell into enterprise organizations that require more complex navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hubspot
- Analytically minded. Willing to organize customer data for basic pipeline/conversion rate analysis
- Located in the greater New York City area (NYC preferred). While we support remote work, we expect our Business Development Representatives to regularly attend industry events around the Bay to generate pipeline

Salary
- The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annually in the Bay Area. Base salary represents 75% of this OTE, and commission represents the other 25%. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
