Assistant Marketing Director needed for a small boutique law firm representing health professionals located in Altamonte Springs near Longwood (immediately northeast of Orlando).
We are seeking an assistant or intern to work closely with the firm's Communications and Marketing Director who currently works remotely from another state. Will consider marketing, journalism, public relations major, or related course of study. Working knowledge of social media expected. Lots of blog writing and press release writing as well as representation at professional events. Photography skills a plus.
Applicant will assist the current Communications and Marketing Director with daily responsibilities. Applicant's responsibilities will include but are not limited to keeping up to date with medical/healthcare trends and news stories; writing blogs, press releases and website copy; responding to calls, contacts, and e-mails from potential clients; updating the firm's website and social media platforms; editing and assisting with e-newsletter; communicating with clients and potential clients; communicating with lawyers and law firms that are potential referral sources for clients; representing firm at professional meetings, trade shows and conferences; and researching marketing issues as requested.
This position is an entry or basic level position for a marketing, advertising, public relations or journalism major, with upward mobility. Position is full time, but will consider part time applicant or intern willing to stay.
Must be able to attend work in office on time every day, but will consider part-time.
Educational training or prior experience in marketing and public relations is required. THIS IS NOT A SALES POSITION AND SALES EXPERIENCE WILL NOT COUNT. Prior experience working in a legal setting, in health care or in a public relations firm is a plus.
Must be available for occasional travel and availability at nights and on weekends as may be necessary to represent the firm at various professional conferences and seminars. Must be willing to socially distance, mask, work from home, and otherwise take actions directed by employer to protect co-workers during pandemic.

Must love the law. Several of our former marketing personnel have gone on to law school.
Beginning salary will depend on experience but will increase with successful performance. Upwardly mobile position.
Will consider paid internship.
