POSH was launched in October 2020 by 2 NYU dropouts looking for a better solution to manage the events they hosted together. Fast forward 3 years, we've grown to a team of 22, amassed 1.5M users, raised $9M in venture funding, and processed over $60M in transactions.
Since our launch 3 years ago, we’ve become much more than an event management platform. Today, we’re revolutionizing how live experiences are designed, shared, and enjoyed, providing millions of people with their first-ever opportunity to earn capital through live experiences. POSH not only empowers anyone to establish and scale a paid events community, but is also the first platform to provide event stakeholders other than organizers with the tools they need to monetize. POSH is the beginning of the Gig Economy of Events.
About The Role
As Head of Community, you’ll be working directly with the CEO, curating programs and experiences for the ecosystem of attendees, organizers, and event stakeholders that utilize the POSH platform. You will sit at the intersection of Sales, Success, Marketing, and Product, connecting the dots between departments to optimize the user lifecycle. Your objective will be to empower those who initially attend an event on our platform with the tools and information they need to set up a paid event community of their own. Accomplishing this objective will greatly impact the POSH mission, empowering consumers to monetize their event industry interests for the first time.
Your Objective
Push forward our mission to democratize the ability for anyone to earn capital through live experiences by establishing consumer sentiment in POSH as ‘the easiest place to make money from events’.
Day-to-Day Challenges
- Convert attendees into event organizers by educating and empowering them to establish a paid events community of their own
- Convert event organizers utilizing other event management platforms into POSH organizers by introducing them to our community through curated programs and experiences
- Maximize existing POSH organizer retention by curating programs and experiences that allow them to scale their communities
- Conceptualize KPI-driven community engagement campaigns that increase brand awareness, move prospective leads through the sales funnel, and maximize user retention
- Curate intimate events and dinners worldwide that provide industry stakeholders with a professional atmosphere in which to meet each other
- Manage and optimize ambassador and referral programs to increase on-the-ground bandwidth worldwide
- Provide insights gathered from stakeholder interactions to the Marketing team to optimize social media, blog, and newsletter content, growth, and engagement
- Collaborate with the Success team to connect marquee organizations with resources that help them grow their brands (venues, artists, staff members, etc.)
- Track and manage a complete data-driven picture of overall community engagement across the POSH ecosystem
Qualifications
- 4+ years of community-led growth experience at a startup or growth-stage company. skills include community management & growth, user education and resource development, ambassador management, event curation, brand partnership curation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to conceptualize new SOPs and present them clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Passion for democratizing live events and connecting industry stakeholders with the tools and resources they need to scale their contribution to the industry
- Proficient in project management tools such as Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Zapier, Airtable, etc.
Even better if you have
- 3+ years of music and/or event industry experience; event organization, venue management and/or marketing, industry content writing, artist booking management (agent), artist management, label management
- Moderate graphic design experience with tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Canva, etc.
Compensation
Salary - $120,000-$150,000
Equity - $50,000 vested over 4 years with a 1-year cliff
