PR CONTENT SPECIALIST – COME GROW WITH US
Ball Consulting Group, LLC is an award-winning strategic communications firm that was founded in 2004 and has built a national reputation in health care, nonprofits, housing, education, and crisis communications. We are seeking a Public Relations Content Specialist who has experience creating very varied types of content in either an in-house communications team or PR agency. Content to be created includes media materials, marketing content, newsletters, facts sheets, communications to varied stakeholders, communications plans, articles and thought leadership pieces, and social media posts. This position supports content development needs across accounts, as opposed to an “account” person who might manage all of the tasks for a series of accounts.
The skills we are seeking include:
- Exceedingly strong written and oral communications skills
- Truly exceptional editing skills
- Ability to develop, edit, and finalize the materials referenced above
- Experience creating high quality, well-researched copy, and content free of errors
- Creativity and an ability to develop written materials that respond to particular client challenges
- Documented success with social media content development
- Experience working with clients
- Ability to complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Responsibilities will include:
- Creating media materials of all types
- Developing marketing materials tailored to different audiences
- Writing newsletter, annual report, and white paper content
- Developing social media calendars across all channels
- Researching and drafting communications plans
- Attending client meetings and engaging regularly with clients
- All team members may be asked to pitch in and assume other responsibilities, as needed
Key requirements and details:
- MANDATORY two to four years’ experience in a PR setting – candidates without this experience, including 2025 and 2026 college graduates, will be automatically disqualified
- This is an in-office position
- Must have an interest in health care, nonprofit, education and housing sectors
- Must have a demonstrated passion for writing in varied formats and contexts
- Familiarity with Canva and all products in the Office 365 suite
- Candidates must possess a B.A. or B.S. in communications, public relations, journalism, political science or public policy, or related field
- Office is in Newton, Mass., on several express and local bus routes and free garage parking is included, if driving
- Salary range is $55,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience, and performance-based bonuses
