The General Manager of PickleRage Union County is responsible for leading, overseeing and the management of the day-to-day operations will include working closely with department heads (ie Food and Bev manager, Programming Director, Marketing Director, Sales, Front Desk Lead, etc).. This includes the daily operations of pickleball, a full bar and restaurant, and Pro Shop. With an emphasis on hospitality, the general manager will bring bright energy, positivity, leadership, and business savvy to work every day. The General Manager will report directly to Ownership. Must have passion and love for the game.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all daily operations with the goal of providing excellent customer experience for all guests.
• Proactively track revenue and control expenses to meet financial targets as reflected in the P&L.
• Help guide monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and re-forecasting.
• Work collaboratively with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Use data from Court Reserve to drive utilization, guide business decisions, and track performance against selected metrics.
• Be the primary liaison with club members which includes owning the monthly member newsletter.
· Provides administrative oversight to Program Director of the club’s pickleball programming, including managing scheduling of programs, completes billing, etc.
• Over the Program Director as they Conduct or maintain market research on competitive pickleball offerings in New Jersey and inform optimal programming and pricing.
· Support the Program Director as they develop, sell and teach safe, professional and exciting revenue generating on-court programs.
• Create and implement policies that improve operational efficiency and clarity.
• Represent PickleRage Corporate in a manner consistent with its brand.
· Interacts with members through non-revenue producing activity and off-court program promotion (i.e. information tables, coordinates marketing materials, member communication, etc.)
• Lend support to Sales and Marketing to form and maintain strategic relationships with neighborhood organizations such as local businesses, and existing/potential partners. • Identify business opportunities and implement them to generate new business and enhance revenue.
• Work with Program Director Coordinate with PickleRage’s Events team & Corporate Events Team to smoothly execute the operational details of all events. Work with the Food & Beverage Management, staff and Coaching staff to ensure that all events run smoothly and efficiently.
• Work closely with Program Director and Ownership to ensure the highest level of quality in the Food and Beverage program.
• Work closely with Human Resources to implement HR policies and ensure the location is following legal requirements.
• Oversee all facilities issues including maintenance, repairs, trash removal, cleaning, and pest control. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors as needed.
