Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and performance-driven Web & Email Specialist to support the execution and optimization of our digital marketing and ecommerce initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing our email platform and execution, website merchandising and scheduling, SEO optimization, and reporting across digital channels.
The ideal candidate combines strong organizational skills with analytical thinking and a passion for creating seamless customer experiences driven by data.
Key Responsibilities
Email Management
Build and schedule email marketing campaigns and flows.
Execute A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization strategies to maximize email performance.
Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on KPI’s.
Maintain email deliverability best practices and monitor list health.
Manage subscriber lists, audience segmentation strategies, and customer data uploads.
Support email flow and page creation.
Web Merchandising & Content Management
Maintain and update website content: collections, landing pages, banners, and promotional messaging.
Execute web merchandising strategies to support product launches, campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and specific promotions.
Schedule and manage homepage updates, featured products, navigation updates, and category merchandising.
Ensure product organization and tagging align with customer experience goals.
Monitor website functionality and identify opportunities for UX improvements.
SEO & Digital Optimization
Support SEO initiatives including metadata optimization, keyword implementation, and content structure.
Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to improve organic visibility and search rankings.
Optimize website content and product pages for search performance and discoverability.

Stay informed on SEO best practices, algorithm updates, and ecommerce search trends.
Reporting & Analytics
Maintain reporting across email marketing, website performance, SEO, and ecommerce initiatives.
Analyze campaign KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, revenue attribution, and engagement trends.
Track website merchandising and content performance using Shopify analytics.
Create recurring performance summaries and actionable insights for internal leadership.
Identify opportunities for optimization through data analysis and reporting trends.
Qualification Requirements
2-4 years of hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization and Merchandising
Experience with Email Marketing platforms and segmentation.
Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify,
Understanding of SEO fundamentals and website optimization best practices.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work outside or work hours/weekends.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email or web content editing.
Passion for collegiate athletics, with special consideration for Illinois, Indiana, or Iowa State.
