Role
The Administrative Services Coordinator position within the Center for Teaching is a multifaceted role that helps to ensure the effective day to day operation of the Center for Teaching. Serving as the first point of contact for the Center, this position provides front-line reception and administrative coordination, including scheduling, project support and assistance with program development, and general office assistance. They will also have the opportunity to:
- Assist with the planning and implementation of specific projects, services and programs to provide administrative and operational support and management, including:
- Serve as key role in cash handling process for all departmental checks received
- Assist as needed with gathering information and data, and prepare materials and reports for special initiatives.
- Liaise with appropriate campus community members regarding meetings, events, Center news, and Center guests

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
- Some (6 months to 1 year) experience in office administration or equivalent, with preference for experience in a higher ed institution.
- May include infrequent evening and weekend work
Competencies Required
- Demonstrates a working proficiency level in the following competencies:
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Event organization
- Professional demeanor
- Familiarity with teaching in a higher ed context
Desirable Qualifications
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with copy editing, writing for a newsletter, web editing, and graphic design.
- Experience teaching in a higher ed context
- Experience providing support in a Center for Teaching & Learning, office of graduate development or faculty development, or related office

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $21,000 – $27,000 (50%), with the top of the range reserved for exceptionally qualified applicants. This position includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
