The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing our marketing strategy with an emphasis on graphic creation/design and social media reputation management. You will lead our marketing campaigns, evaluate our marketing performance metrics, and collaborate with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the marketing and communication activities according to our marketing plan
- Lead all aspects of projects including time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, budgeting, analysis, and tracking & monitoring using our project management system monday.com
- Manage creative production of online and offline marketing assets, graphic design, photo/video production, newsletters, social media, and web development, from the initial concept to finished product and execution in alignment with organizational milestones, outputs, and outcomes.
- Supervise Marketing/Communications staff and PR agency.
- Evaluate the fulfillment of organization-wide requests for web/media content via our departmental intake process
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with vendors, partners, marketing board committee and key stakeholders
- Measure and report on team performance towards quarterly objectives and key results
- Direct the onsite and online support and coordination of vendors, guests, and speakers to ensure smooth and successful events, including, but not limited to, our Dallas Startup Week, State of Entrepreneurship, and Programs with guest/speaker promotion
MARKETING/PR
- Write and edit engaging original content for digital platforms for marketing and development, including the website blog(s)
- Create and manage the organization’s editorial calendar, offering recommendations for content and workflow
- Provide editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all DEC Network assets, ensuring adherence to DEC Network brand identity, guidelines, and standards
- Analyze and report communications metrics including e-newsletter, website, and social media, including recommendations for improving digital strategies from learnings
- Develop and oversee implementation of strategies and tactics for promoting webinars, convenings, and events on all digital channels including post-event follow up communication
- Lead a regular review of DEC Networks’ marketing and communications functions and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years' experience in marketing
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Experienced manager of people and projects
- Strong writer and editor for marketing and development content for multiple audiences
- Experience working with diverse sets of stakeholders and partners
- Able to independently assess opportunities for outsourcing, partnering, and/or delegating sets of work
- Proficiency with WordPress, Canva, Slack, Salesforce, and Google Suite
- Community engagement – work with and create new community partnerships for DEC Network events/programming
- Brand Ambassador for DEC Network at local events
- Assist in creating and leading new events/programming for DEC Network
