Position Summary
The Strategic Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the Senior Strategic Marketing Manager with ongoing and future marketing responsibilities and internal product development projects.
Essential Functions
Market Intelligence (50%)
- Newsletter: track new brands and trends in the US/West Coast market on a weekly basis, gathering key articles, videos, pictures and other inspirational materials for the quarterly US newsletter. Build presentation deck to be shared with global cross-functional teams.
- Competitive Tracking: keep monthly new product tracker up to date and evaluate latest launches from key west coast brands, create competitive slides with product details and consumer reviews for monthly review with US strategic marketing team.
On-Going Team Support (30%):
Sample Room Management:
- Organize and maintain sample room, managing product replenishments + overstock shipments.
- Coordinate new collection deliveries and inventories for upcoming promotions.
Product Collection Development (20%):
- Assist the marketing team with the development of the Makeup in LA 2027 product collection.
- Scout trends across beauty, fashion, lifestyle (etc…) to help develop the product concepts.
- Create concept, packaging and shade mood boards and drive copywriting.
- Gather high quality editorial-like pictures and video clips to use for collection’s creative assets: internal video to be shown to clients + internal marketing profiles/training book.
Job Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Strong interest in the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, or personal care industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
