SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for all print and digital marketing, event planning, and volunteer coordination for Habitat for Humanity for Georgetown County. This position also assists with annual online fundraising events and local community outreach. This includes all tabling events and presence at community meetings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Develop and publish HFHGC's monthly e-newsletter.
- Regularly visit job sites to ensure positive volunteer experience.
- Ensure volunteers receive weekly schedules and job site instructions.
- Oversee the creation of social media content, digital campaigns, and online advertising.
- Manage donor appeals, event invitations, sponsorship solicitations, and other fundraising communications.
- Develop and distribute email campaigns to donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters.
- Plan and manage HFHGC's participation in bi-annual giving days.
- Plan and coordinate annual HFHGC events, including logistics, volunteer coordination, sponsorships, and event execution.
- Maintain volunteer waiver records and ensure all volunteers have completed required liability waivers.
- Respond to social media inquiries and comments.
- Plan and coordinate all corporate volunteer days.
- Process and submit all department-related invoices and expenses in a timely manner.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or associate’s degree in related field or applicable experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of social/community issues (e.g. poverty, affordable housing, community service, urban redevelopment).
- Excellent skills with standard office equipment and devices, especially Excel and Word.
- Working knowledge of Canva, Squarespace, Meta Business Suite, Constant Contact.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the basic principles of photography and videography, including DSLR operation.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers, volunteers, and the community. Ability to work as part of a team.
- Business skills/maintenance of finances. Adherence to HFHGC budgeting and coding of invoices.
