Who We Are
At Ploy, we’re building the first growth automation software with your website at its core. We serve innovative operators at growth and marketing agencies, tech start-ups, and some traditional industries as well.
They build their website with Ploy’s agents, and then those agents automatically research the landscape and business context, identify winning strategies for account-based personalization, SEO/AEO, conversion rate optimization, and ship dozens of on-brand, on-strategy web pages in seconds to drive traffic and conversions.
Our vision is to completely re-define the concept of a marketing website in today’s agentic world.
And tear down the broken, archaic low-code tech stacks of the last generation of website builders. With agents, we can unburden a world of story-tellers from manual work, long timelines, and being blocked by internal and external resourcing, and return them to a world of, “yes, and” + “let’s just do it.”
It’s a big, scary ambitious vision, but our team is uniquely positioned to do it.
- Some of the best engineers, design engineers, and growth engineers in the world.
- World-class investors.
- And one of our co-founders is Bryant Chou, the former co-founder and CTO of Webflow. Yes, uniquely positioned.
- And last but not least, hopefully you, the one reading this 😄
About the Role
From our experience at Webflow and other category-defining companies, we believe deeply that the best interns are not just “extra hands.” They are curious, high-agency builders who can take real problems, learn quickly, and help the team move faster.
Ploy is hiring a Summer Intern to join us in New York City and work across some of the most important parts of the company.
You’ll support projects across growth, product, marketing, operations, customer research, community, and go-to-market. That could mean helping research accounts, testing new growth ideas, building internal workflows, creating content, analyzing customer data, supporting launches, improving onboarding, or jumping into whatever the team needs most that week.
This role sits at the intersection of learning and building. You’ll get exposure to how an early-stage AI company operates from the inside — how we think about customers, product, growth, sales, positioning, automation, and the future of websites.
This is a high-context, high-ownership internship at an early-stage startup. You won’t just be given busywork. You’ll work closely with founders and team members on real projects that matter. Some will be clearly scoped. Others will be messy, ambiguous, and require you to figure things out.
You should be someone who is curious, organized, fast-moving, and excited to learn by doing. You don’t need to know everything already. But you should be hungry to learn, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to take ownership of whatever is in front of you.
What You’ll Own
- Growth projects — Support experiments across user acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, outbound, content, and community
- Customer and market research — Research companies, industries, competitors, agencies, growth teams, and AI/GTM trends to help inform strategy
- Go-to-market support — Help with prospect research, CRM cleanup, lead lists, outbound experiments, launch support, and sales enablement materials
- Content and social support — Draft posts, repurpose ideas, summarize customer insights, and help turn Ploy’s vision into clear, compelling content
- Product and user feedback — Help collect, organize, and synthesize customer feedback to identify patterns, pain points, and opportunities
- Internal operations — Build lightweight systems, docs, trackers, workflows, and automations that help the team move faster
- Community and events — Support community programming, webinars, user interviews, founder events, customer stories, and NYC-based activations
- Data and analysis — Track project results, analyze performance, and help the team understand what is working and what should change
- Special projects — Jump into high-priority projects across the company as they come up
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
- Strong curiosity and a genuine interest in startups, AI, marketing, websites, growth, and the future of software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Comfort researching unfamiliar topics and turning messy information into clear takeaways
- A bias toward action — you do not need perfect instructions to start helping
- Strong judgment and the ability to ask good questions when something is unclear
- Comfort working across different types of projects, from research and writing to operations and customer-facing work
- Excitement about working in-person with a fast-moving team in New York City
- Willingness to learn quickly, take feedback, and improve every week
- Bonus: experience with startups, student organizations, side projects, internships, content, sales, marketing, coding, design, or operations
- Bonus: familiarity with tools like Notion, HubSpot, Google Sheets, Figma, Canva, Webflow, Framer, Clay, Zapier, or AI tools
- Bonus: you’ve built something before — a project, club, business, campaign, community, app, newsletter, or anything else you’re proud of
This role is for someone who wants to learn fast, move fast, and get a front-row seat to building a company trying to redefine what a marketing website can be.
If that sounds exciting, we’d love to meet you.
