Company Description COTA (Central Oregon Trail Alliance) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing, protecting, and enhancing the mountain biking experience in Central Oregon through trail stewardship, advocacy, collaboration, and education. The organization partners with land managers to plan, build, and maintain sustainable trail systems that serve a wide range of riders. COTA envisions a robust, inclusive, and diverse mountain biking community that will thrive for generations. With six chapters—Bend, Crook County, Madras, Redmond, Sisters, and South Deschutes County—COTA supports local engagement and volunteer involvement across the region. Team members help connect people who care about trails with meaningful ways to support and enjoy them.
Position Summary
The Membership Program Officer leads and grows COTA’s membership program as a core component of the organization’s fundraising strategy. As a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 65% of COTA’s annual revenue comes directly from members. This role oversees the systems, campaigns, partnerships, and reporting that drive member acquisition, retention, and long-term engagement, while helping build a strong pipeline of future donors and major supporters.
Working closely with the Development Director, this position combines data management, campaign execution, marketing, donor stewardship, and community relationship building. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by connecting people to a mission they care about. They are comfortable managing digital systems independently while also thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
