Ashland Community Health Foundation (ACHF) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and personable Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is central to the day-to-day operation of our organization and requires someone who thrives in a team environment, takes initiative, and embraces the mission of ACHF.
The ideal candidate is as comfortable managing data and spreadsheets as they are picking up the phone to speak with a donor. They anticipate what needs to be done before being asked and take pride in doing things right.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associates degree is required
- Two years of administrative work is required
- Proficiency in MS Office products is required
- Database experience is required
- High level of organization and attention to detail is required
- Nonprofit experience is preferred
- Fundraising experience is preferred
- Financial record-keeping experience is preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel
Reporting:
The Administrative Assistant reports to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the board and its committees, schedule meetings, arrange meals when appropriate, prepare and distribute materials in advance and record minutes
- Provide logistical support for all events and programs, including guest registration and check-in, venue coordination, catering, photography, and technology needs
- Document and track donor relations in the donor database; enter gifts and generate acknowledgement letters
- In partnership with foundation staff, support fundraising activities; assist with customized donor materials and ensure donor and engagement activities are well-coordinated
- Oversee general administrative operations, process invoices and check requests, order supplies, prepare deposits, and handle post office business
- Provide excellent customer service to donors, scholarship applicants, partner organizations, and the broader community; represent the foundation at community events
- Participate in the development of the bi-annual newsletter, grant and scholarship award process, and budget and audit process
- Serve as the point person for facilities management
- Complete other duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits
The starting wage for this position is $23 to $25 per hour.
