Role Overview
As a Sustainability Communications Intern, you will support FoodprintAI’s marketing and communications efforts by helping create engaging content, monitor industry trends, and strengthen our external presence. You will work closely with the team to translate company updates, product insights, sustainability topics, and market developments into content for LinkedIn, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
This role combines content creation, market research, social media marketing, and visual design. We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and interested in understanding industry trends, generating new content ideas, and helping communicate FoodprintAI’s work in a clear and compelling way.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, creation, and execution of content for company’s LinkedIn page and other marketing channels.
- Draft and refine social media posts, newsletter content, and other external-facing communications.
- Monitor trends and developments in sustainability, climate tech, AI, and related industries to identify relevant content opportunities.
- Conduct market research to help inform marketing initiatives and content strategy.
- Create visual assets such as social media graphics, carousels, one-pagers, and other marketing materials using Canva or similar tools.
- Maintain a content calendar and support the organization of marketing assets and materials.
- Track content performance metrics and provide recommendations for improving engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new content ideas, marketing campaigns, and brand-building initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business, design or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to create engaging content for professional audiences.
- Experience creating social media, marketing, design, or public-facing content through coursework, internships, student organizations, startups, nonprofits, or personal projects.
- Strong Canva skills or experience with similar design tools.
- Comfortable using AI tools or LLMs to support content creation, research, and productivity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to revise content based on feedback.
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple content tasks at once.
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable suggesting new ideas and taking initiative.
- Interest in startups, sustainability, climate tech, AI, or digital marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting social media marketing, brand communications, content creation, or digital campaigns.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn content creation, content calendars, social media analytics, or campaign planning.
- Exposure to sustainability, carbon accounting, supply chains, climate technology.
