About the Role
Social media is the highest-leverage opportunity we have outside of supporting our top talent directly.
We're looking for a Social Media Lead who lives and breathes organic content strategy, stays on top of every major algorithm update, and can build repeatable, creator-specific playbooks that drive both audience growth and revenue for our top creators.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Research
- Develop bespoke social media strategies for Playbook's top creators.
- Research viral trends, algorithm updates, and new platform features across Instagram and TikTok.
- Track and analyze creator performance on a weekly basis.
- Conduct weekly viral content analysis and share key insights with the team.
- Publish a recurring newsletter covering social media trends relevant to our creator verticals.
- Lead community calls or webinars as needed.
- Provide feedback and strategic support for paid advertising creative.
- Contribute to creator education, curriculum, and training.
Creator Playbooks
- Build launch marketing kits with step-by-step templates, post formats, captions, timing, and execution guidance.
- Develop challenge marketing kits using the same structured approach.
- Create best-practice posting frameworks for key creator verticals, including Fitness, Yoga, CrossFit, Moms & Dads, and more.
- Develop expertise in content strategies for both lead generation and conversion, then teach those strategies to creators.
- Provide guidance on ad creative strategy, recognizing that strong paid performance starts with strong organic content.
Editing & Production Guidance
- Stay current on the latest editing tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Coach creators and Creator Managers on editing techniques that improve speed, hooks, retention, and overall performance.
Growth Tracking
- Own social growth tracking for Playbook's top 50 creators.
- Identify the biggest growth opportunities and the largest performance gaps each week.
Who You Are
- You have a genuine obsession with social media and stay ahead of algorithm changes before they become mainstream.
- You've developed content strategies for creators, brands, or talent at scale.
- You can turn complex strategy into simple, actionable templates that creators can execute without additional guidance.
- You understand the relationship between organic content and paid acquisition.
- Bonus: You're AI-savvy and excited about building tools that scale this work.
- Comfortable working across fitness, wellness, and lifestyle verticals.
How This Role Works
Initially, this person will build playbooks and provide strategy directly to Creator Managers, who will coach creators and ensure execution. Long term, the vision is to build AI-powered tools that automate personalized social media guidance for creators at scale. This role offers the opportunity to build lasting infrastructure, not just execute day-to-day work.
