If you love Jesus, coffee, and well-crafted news, you might just be our next teammate. Our mission is to be a trustworthy news resource that points people toward eternal hope, and we need a social media whiz. We’re lookin’ for the kinda person who spots a trend before it’s a trend, has a bottomless well of fresh ideas, and knows exactly which ones fit TPO and which ones don’t.
About The Pour Over
- TPO grew to 500,000 subscribers with a dental student leading the growth and marketing efforts. Our founder launched TPO while working full-time for Dish Network. Our Managing Editor? Environmental Studies degree. Moral of the story: we care more about initiative and results than perfect résumés.
- Meet our team.
- Check out our beliefs.
- Our core values are…
- Excellence: If we do it, we do it excellently, as for the Lord. (Colossians 3:23-24)
- Faith: We seek to glorify Jesus, the King. (Matthew 22:37-40)
- Family: We love and invest in families. (Mark 10:13-16, Ephesians 5:33)
- Golden Rule: We treat others how we want to be treated. (Matthew 7:12)
- Humility: We disagree well and are open to correction. (Philippians 2:3-4)
About the Job
You know that one friend? The one whose Stories are really funny, who sends you the 7 a.m. TikTok you didn't ask for but couldn't stop watching, who hears a trending audio and knows exactly what to do with it? That's who we're looking for. Are you that friend? Here's what you'd own:
- Run our socials. Instagram first, TikTok and Pinterest to build from (pretty much) scratch, Facebook in the mix, Substack on the horizon.
- Create scroll-stopping stuff. Fun, original content, plus our newsletter and podcast, repackaged for the feed.
- Grow beyond social. You'll work on our Multimedia team and get into the wider media world here at TPO.
- Lean into AI. Not for everything (we're not handing the brand to a robot), but for ideation and efficiency, we’re fans.
- Keep an eye on data. We ❤️ data. No need to be an aficionado, but you’ll dive into the data weeds.
Requirements
- Creative work that makes people stop scrolling
- A go-getter attitude with more ideas than you know what to do with
- Canva and social video editing fluency
- A curiosity for AI tools
- Passion for TPO’s mission
- Ability to be in-person (the reels aren’t gonna film themselves)

Outside of that, you’ll mostly get the rest of your hours in during normal business hours, and we promise we're reasonable humans about it. (All times are in CT.)
