About Worth Media Group
At Worth Media Group, we explore and explain the forces at work in business, finance, technology, lifestyle, and impact. Founded in 1986 as a print magazine, Worth today fosters conversation amongst our influential community of thousands of executives, investors, innovators, and entrepreneurs. We gather in-person and in digital settings, creating connections between our partner brands and the Worth audiences that they want to reach.
Our events - summits, receptions, and custom experiences like partner dinners - bring our editorial point of view into the room, sparking substantive conversation and new connections.
Role Summary
Worth is looking for a Community Manager to build and sustain our audience across our live events, digital content and newsletter portfolio. This person will:
- Ensure that we define the various elements of the Worth Community that we want to attend a particular gathering;
- Support the leadership of Worth to invite relevant individuals from their professional networks to Worth events;
- Analyze the CRM to identify individuals for invitation to particular events; and
- Undertake outreach to individuals outside of the current Worth community to invite them to attend relevant convening.
This is a detail-obsessed role that sits at the intersection of editorial judgment, sales support, and event operations.
The successful candidate will build and manage guest lists from scratch, cultivate a growing community of high-value contacts, and act as the connective tissue between Worth's editorial priorities, sponsor commitments, and the in-person delegate experience.
Responsibilities
Audience Strategy & Curation
- Define target guest profiles for each event based on editorial themes, sponsor goals, and Worth's brand positioning
- Build, manage, and refine guest lists for summits, receptions, and custom events, balancing editorial relevance, seniority, industry mix, and sponsor priorities
- Identify and prioritize high-value invitees who align with each event's purpose
Relationship Management
- Serve as a point of contact for VIP guests and repeat attendees, managing outreach, RSVPs, and follow-up with a high-touch, white-glove approach;
- Maintain and grow Worth’s database of contacts and relationships, in partnership with editorial and sales teams;
- Track attendance history, relationship notes, and engagement patterns to inform future invitations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with the sales team to ensure sponsor-nominated guests and client priorities are represented appropriately;
- Work with editorial staff to align guest lists with themes, speakers, and Worth's broader strategy;
- Coordinate with the events production team on RSVP tracking, seating/table assignments, and day-of guest logistics.
Operations & Systems
- Manage guest data in HubSpot, ensuring records are accurate, deduplicated, and enriched with relevant data
- Own the invitation lifecycle: list-building, outreach, RSVP tracking, reminders, and post-event follow-up
- Build reporting on guest composition, attendance rates, and audience quality
On-Site Presence
- Attend Worth convening's as the point person for VIP guest experience, troubleshooting in real time
- Ensure the room reflects the intended composition, flagging gaps before the event
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in events, community management, membership, or a related relationship-driven role.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-level guest lists or member communities from the ground up
- Comfort engaging with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, and public figures with polish and discretion
- Strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple events and lists simultaneously without dropping details
- Comfort maintaining clean, structured data. Experience with HubSpot preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work event hours as needed
Compensation
$70,000 - $80,000
