At Aside, we're looking for a Content & Editorial Lead to build an editorial program people actually look forward to reading. We want someone who loves turning complicated financial topics into clear, compelling stories that earn trust, not just clicks. You might geek out on tax strategy, investing, or behavioral economics. But you also care about generosity, philanthropy, and the traditions that shape how people give.
You'll own Daffy's editorial program—from idea to publication to performance—creating content that educates, earns trust, and helps people discover Daffy through Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and wherever people search for answers next.
You're a writer first. You know how to develop an original point of view, explain difficult ideas simply, and publish consistently without sacrificing quality. You're also comfortable creating visuals with modern design and AI tools, and you enjoy using analytics to improve the impact of your work.

Responsibilities- Own Daffy's editorial calendar and publishing cadence across our blog and other owned channels.
- Research, write, and publish high-quality content (2-3 pieces per week) spanning personal finance, charitable giving, tax strategy, product updates, and member stories.
- Maintain and evolve Daffy's brand voice across the blog, social media, video content, lifecycle content, and other member communications
- Partner closely with our VP of Marketing & CEO to develop founder content, thought leadership, milestone announcements, and other executive communications.
- Interview members, financial advisors, and internal experts to develop original stories and timely perspectives.
- Work with our Head of Growth Marketing to grow qualified organic traffic by building on Daffy's existing SEO and AI search strategy, and to align organic content and paid search strategies.
- Create content that performs across traditional search and AI-powered search experiences, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
- Monitor content performance, keyword rankings, and AI search trends to continually refine editorial priorities and improve results.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Marketing to support launches, campaigns, and other strategic initiatives, while independently creating polished supporting visuals for day-to-day content.
About You
- You're an exceptional writer who can make complex topics feel clear, engaging, and genuinely useful.
- You're naturally curious about personal finance, investing, taxes, or philanthropy—and enjoy staying on top of what's happening in the space.
- You have 4+ years of experience creating editorial content for a consumer brand, fintech company, media organization, or publication.
- You have a track record of growing organic traffic through consistently publishing high-quality content.
- You have strong editorial judgment and know the difference between content that simply ranks and content that people trust, share, and remember.
- You're comfortable owning the entire content process—from idea and research through writing, publishing, optimization, and performance analysis.
- You're comfortable creating polished supporting visuals using Canva, Figma, or AI tools. You don't need to be a designer, but you can produce publish-ready content independently.
- You're familiar with SEO fundamentals, keyword research, and how AI-powered search is changing content discovery.
- You're proficient with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and modern AI writing and research tools.
- You're self-directed, highly organized, and excited to own a critical function at a fast-moving startup.
We Prefer
- Experience at a venture-backed startup or other high-growth company.
- A professional credential (CFP, CFA, CPA) or demonstrated expertise in personal finance through your writing or career.
- A regular writing practice—whether that's a newsletter, blog, LinkedIn, or Substack—that demonstrates writing as an ongoing craft rather than an occasional project.

Location & Compensation
We are a remote-friendly team and are open to candidates across the U.S. We have a preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area, who can occasionally meet in person with the team.
We offer salary bands to ensure fairness and transparency, based on location:
- Remote (U.S.-based): $120,000 – $150,000/yr + equity
- Bay Area (Hybrid): $140,000 – $170,000/yr + equity
