The Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented hands-on marketing manager, who will be responsible for the execution and implementation of all our marketing activities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who lives and breathes digital communications and is passionate about creating buzz-worthy content – and is a good storyteller in the English language.
Our marketing activities are focusing on (1) Optimizing our website, including our important agent resource center (2) Growing our social media channels; LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube (3) Building our Travel Advisor/Agent/Partner list building and regular newsletter distribution (4) Digital and printed brochure development.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Create the development of marketing communications strategic objectives and tactics including branding, public relations, advertising, trade shows, seminars, and events collateral materials.
· Define and direct marketing programs for lead generation and interfaces with the Sales team for lead tracking and management, and to support channel and partner strategies and programs.
· Oversee product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, and general sales support.
· Optimize the delivery of the website www.positivepolar.com, and make this a lead generation vehicle.
· Implement social marketing activities with a focus on Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and YouTube, to grow our following and generate leads.
· Coordinate the creation of engaging content for all our online channels, including trip itinerary descriptions.
· Responsible for the email/newsletter strategy both in terms of content and lead generation.
· Develop and manage CRM strategy and implementation of a direct marketing program that will leverage customer data capture and improve both acquisition and retention.
· Manage the Company’s marketing budget.
Success criteria and objectives:
The successful candidate will be measured on the lead generation of our website, social media channels, mailing lists, PR, and other marketing activities. Key KPI’s; Partner/Travel Agent / Travel Advisor list size, BtoC list size, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube following, key online web stats like traffic and authority.
Relationship to others:
· Reports to CCO
· Direct Reports: none at the start, aim to hire 1 digital marketing coordinator at the end of the year. External freelancers and agencies (designers, videographers), possible marketing interns.
· Inter-relations; company CEO, company president, sales and operations teams.
· External relations; Ourcustomers and our distribution partner (charterers, tour operators, travel agents, special interest groups, influencers), system providers.

Our marketing manager must act as role models and must show a positive and professional attitude, internally as externally– we listen, take responsibility, engage, set direction, communicate, and lead by example. Our success and results are achieved through a team effort. You are capable of dealing with a diverse group of people at a broad range of levels and see diversity as a strength. You set the example with a “roll up the sleeves” mentality.
Requirements
· 2 to 5 years of previous experience in Digital Marketing & CRM
· Previous experience in Agency, Travel, Luxury, or Media industry will be preferred.
· Passion for digital, must be up to date regarding the latest media trends and digital tools and technologies.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English language). Great storyteller.
· Strong analytical skills and drive for results
· Project management skills (setting priorities, team coordination)
· Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
· Creativity and ability to take initiative and make ideas come to life.
· Education; bachelor’s degree in marketing, Computer Science, Sales, E-business, or equivalent experience. MBA or Masters in a marketing discipline is a major plus.
· Passionate about results – possesses a strong drive to “make things happen”.
· High-level skills in direct sales development; and a proven track record of working with direct clients and specifically e-marketing campaigns.
· Has an eye for detail while maintaining a strategic vision.

Other:
· Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time. During trade shows and when experiencing the company’s products, some weekend travel may be required. In some cases, evening and weekend work may be required.
