BLDUP, the leading source for CRE data, is seeking a HIGHLY motivated and results-driven research associate with strong online research and writing skills. The research associate will be part of BLDUP’s content team and will be responsible for researching project data and updates that can be used to create daily news posts, research pieces, and thought leadership articles. A background (or interest) in commercial real estate is ideal along with keen attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills. The research associate will be responsible for monitoring a variety of sources to keep BLDUP users on top of all the CRE happenings in that area.
Responsibilities
- Perform online research across a wide range of sources covering various construction and development projects and transactions
- Monitor construction/development projects through all phases of the life cycle, ensure BLDUP data is accurate and timely
- Identify new data resources and or processes to collect the CRE data most valuable to our customers
- Manage and build relationships with key stakeholder sources to collect information on public and private construction projects
- Curate, research, design, and write articles, press releases, project updates
- Develop and write website & email newsletter copy
Requirements
- Advanced computer skills and strong familiarity with the web
- HIGHLY detail-oriented and organized
- Outstanding writing and editing skills
- Quick learner who listens and asks good questions
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work. This means you are willing to put in the effort/time required to get the job “done right” – not “done right now.”
- Enough confidence to share your ideas, participate in business conversations and take (or give) constructive criticism
- Positive disposition and ability to play well with others
