The Role:
The Director is a proven B2B event and content marketer with strong skills in driving attendee ticket conversions, event website traffic conversions, group sales leads, event email campaign performance and social sharing. The Director is self-motivated, always puts the community first and is driven for high performance for the company.
The role reports directly to the CEO, SAPinsider.
Specific Responsibilities include
Leads a small 2-3 person event marketing team assuring achievement of event attendee budgeted goals on a timely basis.
Leads migrating the sales process for event attendees from direct sales (70% today) to marketing only e-commerce sales (30% today) to 80% marketing only e-commerce sales.
Website, Mobile, email, social, sponsors
Manages all marketing campaigns for Global Events and Summits annually.
Develops and implements email campaigns for global events such as annual conferences, summits, Executive Forums and roadshows with the primary focus on driving higher event ticket sales as well as conversion and customer engagement.
Partners closely with our content and design teams to create visually appealing email templates as well as written content that is unified and targets high open and click through rates.
Grows and strengthens our digital marketing presence for all events on social media channels, developing relevant content and managing each site to ensure timely updates for all event information.
Writes compelling email copy that incorporates best practices to gain awareness and conversions for event attendance.
Develops targeted event sponsorship campaigns focused on marketing executives at SAP and SAP Partner technology vendors.
Leverages data analytics to help drive decisions and strategies and shares insights and data with others for all email campaigns.
Professional Qualifications:
B2B Enterprise Technology event marketing experience.
Success in running the end-to-end marketing campaigns for multi-day, global B2B events with 100’s to 1,000’s of paid in-person attendees.
Proven experience in building compelling event websites and mobile applications featuring session depth, speakers and experiences.
Experience building and deploying targeted Persona role-based marketing campaigns to drive increased awareness, engagement, and conversions.
Proven experience with managing email and newsletter campaigns to drive attendee and group registrations.
Direct experience with opt-in registration-based marketing campaigns.
Hands on experience with email management and marketing automation software platforms with a strong preference for HubSpot certified.
Direct experience with event marketing website registration platforms, mobile event applications and WordPress CMS.
Knowledge of current social media platforms and digital marketing channels to drive audience acquisition and awareness.
Compensation
The Director enjoys a competitive base salary and annual bonus plan with a year 1 annual compensation of $150,000+ and growing from there. In addition, the role participates in all SAPinsider employee benefit programs including:
