About Our Opportunity
As an HR Specialist (aka: Organizational Development Specialist), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness of our HR team! This position allows you to contribute across all HR functions such as fostering employee engagement, supporting training initiatives, promoting our organizational culture, and providing comprehensive support to our team.
Things You’ll Do Here
New Hire Onboarding Coordination and Support:
- Efficiently oversee the onboarding process, managing tasks from ordering new hire gifts to facilitating orientation meetings, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and well-informed.
- Handle all onboarding-related communications and document management, including sending out calendar invites and updating HR resources and materials to support new employees effectively.
Training and Development:
- Direct the assignment and tracking of training programs for new hires, ensuring they receive essential knowledge and orientation.
- Act as the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to maintain and enhance online learning resources and address ad hoc training requests, thereby supporting continuous employee development.
Employee Engagement and Recognition:
- Lead the creation and distribution of the monthly newsletter and develop an engagement calendar to boost morale and workplace positivity.
- Manage the Tango platform for employee recognition and coordinate events and gifts for service anniversaries, birthdays, and other milestones, promoting a culture of appreciation and connectivity.
HR Administration and Support:
- Convert job postings into job descriptions as roles evolve and new positions are created.
- Maintain a well-organized digital record system by organizing and archiving information in SharePoint.
- Provide comprehensive support for Paylocity, managing tasks like password resets and profile updates, and coordinate its use across HR functions.
- Assist with performance evaluations and engagement surveys.
- Keep the company calendar current with essential dates, including holidays and performance evaluation schedules, to ensure timely awareness and participation.

What You’ll Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s degree (or nearing completion) in HR or related field.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities.
- Creative thinker with the ability to implement new ideas effectively.
- Motivated by timely completion of responsibilities and tasks.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a knack for creativity, particularly in communication and engagement initiatives.
A Plus If You Have
- Internship or 1+ experience in HR role.
