PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work with executive leadership team to develop an organization-wide and long-term communication strategy to promote trust and transparency and encourage employee retention and position Chimes as the employer of choice for those in the IDD and mental health fields.
- Provide executive communications, counsel, and support for the Chimes executive leadership team - significant interaction with senior leadership will be a key part of this position.
- Support Human Resources in planning, promoting and tracking success of job fairs, hiring events and general promotion of open employment opportunities at Chimes.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all internal communications requests for organizational announcements such as inclement weather updates, staff changes, employee incentive programs, etc.
- Execute quarterly town hall meetings, videos, or regular messages, as well as other employee events and communications, to ensure visibility to Chimes’s performance, progress, and purpose.
- Manage and disseminate a quarterly internal newsletter that provides staffing updates, new initiatives, and any information relevant to Chimes employees. This will include sourcing content, drafting and editing the newsletter, collecting photos, etc. and deploying both digital and print versions to all staff and affiliates.
- Plan with Human Resources to develop strategic communications related to organizational structure, change initiatives, and culture activation.
- Manage and post content to Chimes Intranet (currently The Hub).
- Experiment with new, creative ways to reach employees with the news and information they care about and drive their engagement in prioritized company initiatives, including ongoing Net Promoter measurement and feedback communication.
- Partner with Public Relations firm for Crisis Communications messaging and protocols.
- Track and measure internal communications activity. Routinely measure and report out to stakeholders regarding the impact of internal communications.
- Create messaging in fast moving and tight timelines.
- Collaborate with Senior Director of Communications to execute Development and Communications departmental goals.
- Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular travel required across Chimes affiliate footprint in Delaware, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia
- Occasional night and weekend obligations
SKILLS:
- Working proficiency in Adobe Cloud suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Experience in digital and print sourcing and production from vendor selection to final product.
- Proficiency in Wordpress digital editing platform
- Experience in creating and deploying social media strategy and posting.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading skills.
- Experience in planning and managing events within budget parameters.
- Must be able to be flexible with tight deadlines and managing multiple competing timelines and priorities.
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively across Chimes organizational structure with persistence to achieve timely results.
- Excellent organization and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong cultural competencies and ability to communicate effectively to a diverse, global audience.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree or higher
NOTE: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted in lieu of the requirements specified above under Education and Experience.
