Social Media Content Specialist for a
medical device manufacturing client of ours located in
Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will come with
3+ years of experience in social media management, publishing, and engagement. This is a
full-time, onsite, 8-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be
$37-$47/hour depending on experience level and fit.
Reporting to the Sr Group Manager of Social Media-Digital Marketing you will be responsible for channel management and publishing of our client’s Social Media. As a member of the Brand & Creative team and the larger Corporate Marketing group, you will work cross-functionally to define and deliver meaningful, measurable business impact to internal and external stakeholders worldwide.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the tactical planning of the global social media channel strategy, daily content publishing process using Sprinklr Social Publishing & Engagement, and the submission of content for regulatory reviews using Veeva.
- Assist in the planning and management of a 90-day forward-looking global social media calendar across LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and Sprinklr Employee Advocacy
- Partner with regional stakeholders, Corporate Commercial Marketing, Corporate Product Portfolio Marketing, and US Marketing to align editorial calendars for more holistic storytelling
- Adjust the scheduling of content as needed to ensure optimal algorithmic reach and continuity in our storytelling across channels
- Work cross-functionally with the Paid Social Media Specialist on the tactical setup of campaigns using Meta Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Managers
- Track media budgets, billing, and invoicing across social channels to maximize ROI and identify optimizations
- Lead the analytics and measurement of advocacy, paid, and owned content with regular reporting to ensure content strategies are on pace to meet goals
- Support Social Media Strategists in the ideation and planning of organic and paid campaigns as needed
- Lead the regional coordination of global operations, including publishing a bi-weekly social media newsletter with best practices ready for regional adoption as well as the distribution of social media kits for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 3+ years of increasing responsibility in social media channel management and publishing and engagement for a brand or agency in a regulated industry; medical device experience preferred
- Essential skill in the utilization of major SMM, SaaS, and publishing and engagement tools (Ex: HootSuite, Sprinklr, Sprout) and experience with on-platform paid campaign and ad managers (EX: LinkedIn, Meta, and X)
- Proven ability to solve open-ended problems and work cross-functionally toward shared goals
- Able to pivot between long-term projects to short-term needs, with manager support, based on shifting priorities in a growing organization
- A desire and ability to understand complex medical systems and the needs of the individuals and groups that work inside and are adjacent to them
- Superior verbal/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Impeccable attention to accuracy and detail
- Demonstrable experience negotiating and creating process-enabling and end-to-end social media workflows in a Jira and Agile/Scrum environment
- Ability to travel up to 15%. International and Domestic USA
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Fluency across paid social media platforms including LinkedIn, Meta, Twitter, and YouTube and experience with social media platforms outside the United States
- Medical device industry experience
- Strong data and analytics background and a keen ability to understand customer data and know how to convert insights into purposeful actions to meet business needs using Google Analytics 4, Excel, Python, R, Sprinklr
