WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Founder’s Studio is Bain & Company’s venture studio aiming to drive disruptive innovation while retaining and developing top entrepreneurial talent. Founder’s Studio sits within Bain’s Engine 2 portfolio. Our team identifies big problems where Bain expertise and capabilities could have a disruptive impact and builds new technology ventures to solve them. ESG Flo was the first graduate of the Founder’s Studio. The venture spun out of Bain in May 2023 and raised a $5.25M seed round. The studio currently has three ventures in incubation (Aura, Chiefsight and Laine) which are fundraising and preparing for spinout, and three new ventures launching this month.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The role sits on the Founder’s Studio Central Team and reports into the Founder’s Studio COO. In this role, you will work closely with the Founder’s Studio Leadership team and Venture Leaders and be a core thought partner to all parties. You will play a critical role in driving the strategy & operations of the studio and its ventures – including sourcing and ideation, VC fundraising & engagement and ongoing studio operations. This is an especially exciting time to join the Founder’s Studio because we are launching a cohort of three new ventures this month, and this role will have a front-row seat into what it is like to launch, scale and spinout a venture.
Beyond the core responsibilities described below, you will also have opportunities to grow into other aspects of the Founder’s Studio including supporting the studio and its ventures on key strategic projects and initiatives.
ABOUT YOU

- Marketing and engagement: Develop internal and external marketing activities (e.g., launching a VC newsletter, updating website and LinkedIn, portfolio overview materials)
Venture operations & strategy:
- People operations: Continuously work with venture leaders and studio leadership to understand talent needs; help teams craft and post rotational opportunities, speak with potential candidates to help find the best match between their interests and the ventures’ needs and coordinate with recruiting/HR
- Venture status and budget tracking: Facilitate monthly status check ins with venture leads and Founder’s Studio leadership (monitoring progress and status against incubation timeline, tracking studio budget, etc.)
- Strategic projects: Lead special strategic projects guiding the future direction of the Studio; serve as a liaison between the venture leads and broader Bain ecosystem to drive key strategic initiatives including client/alumni outreach, legal and spinout processes, coordination with relevant practice areas, etc.
Studio operations and team experience:
- Program management: Serve as ‘program manager’ for overall studio – e.g., meet 1:1 with team members to check in on experience/career/PD, welcome and onboard new rotational and team members, collect and analyze monthly pulse check results, oversee alumni mentorship program
- Team meetings: Support and facilitate monthly full-team meetings (including setting agenda, identifying external speakers, running monthly knowledge sharing sessions to maintain an evergreen ‘turnkey venture toolkit’)
