Join Our Team at Julia Balfour, LLC
We're looking for a Digital Content Specialist to join our team, primarily supporting one of our largest healthcare clients. This role will be dedicated to their digital content ecosystem, primarily ensuring the overall health, usability, and accessibility of their web presence. As need arises, this role can expand into other digital projects, including site builds, web migrations, and more.
At Julia Balfour, we're a small, fully remote creative agency that believes the best work comes from great relationships. We partner with organizations we genuinely enjoy working with, building thoughtful brands, websites, and digital experiences that make an impact.
Our team is collaborative, curious, and always learning. As our healthcare client continues to evolve its digital ecosystem — including an upcoming CMS transition and web redesign — we're looking for someone who is adaptable, enjoys solving problems, and is excited to grow alongside the work.
What You'll Do
No two days look exactly the same, and that's one of the things we enjoy most.
Depending on the needs of the client, you may:
- Plan, implement, and maintain website content across enterprise CMS platforms.
- Ensure accessible, user-centered digital experiences following WCAG best practices.
- Support website migrations, content audits, and content restructuring initiatives.
- Monitor website quality using tools such as Siteimprove and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Review content quality, governance, and consistency across large website ecosystems.
- Write, edit, and review content, with an emphasis on clear, user-friendly communication.
- Research, organize, and optimize content for usability and SEO.
- Partner with designers, developers, strategists, and project managers to deliver thoughtful digital experiences.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and client teams.
- Contribute to broader agency initiatives as time and capacity allow.
About You
- 4+ years of experience managing digital content within one or more CMS platforms.
- Comfortable learning new content management systems and adapting to evolving digital environments.
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) and incorporating accessible practices into everyday content work.
- Basic understanding of HTML.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience with SEO fundamentals and content optimization.
- Experience using website analytics or quality assurance tools (Google Analytics, SiteImprove, or similar).
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams while also working independently.
- Curious, adaptable, and excited by work that continues to evolve.
- Available to travel for occasional in-person meetings or workshops (approximately 1–2 times per year, as needed).
Bonus Points
- Experience with Siteimprove.
- Experience writing and/or editing healthcare content.
- Experience supporting enterprise website migrations, including establishing and adhering to governance.
- Experience with Unbound or other enterprise CMS platforms.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
