BASIC FUNCTIONS:
At North American Signs, marketing is about understanding people and building awareness of our products, and services. The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for managing NAS’s social media presence, executing an email newsletter strategy, writing relevant website copy, and general digital marketing responsibilities to support the growth of the Marketing Department’s inbound strategy, which supports the sales team’s goals as outlined by the Director of Sales. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter, able to maintain existing marketing efforts and identify and develop new inbound marketing strategies. This role requires the ability to create, maintain, and refine your own workflow to support marketing and sales efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Conduct research, curate content, execute strategy, and provide analysis for all multi-channel marketing platforms, as well as providing insight into overall marketing strategies.
2. Create and curate content for social media (SM) channels. Schedule and post content across all social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to drive traffic to the website and generate inbound leads. Content includes graphics, testimonials, short-form videos, articles, employee features, etc.
3. Work with the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing & Video Specialist to create and curate larger content pieces, such as blogs, podcasts, and short-form videos.
4. Interact and engage with audience on all SM platforms as appropriate, including responding to direct messages on SM platforms.
5. Utilize SM best-practices to reach our target audience with a modern approach that captures appropriate SM trends and highlights our unique brand voice.
6. Optimize content, SM profiles, and overall SM strategy to grow social media reach and engagement. This includes staying updated on algorithm shifts and adjusting strategy accordingly.
7. Track, analyze, and report on SM performance across all platforms. This also includes measuring, analyzing, and reporting on targeted SM campaigns.
8. With Marketing Manager, implement an email newsletter strategy to generate inbound leads. Track, analyze, and report on the email newsletter.
9. Create and curate content for monthly newsletter to connect with website subscribers.
10. Assist the Marketing Manager to create copy and blog posts to improve SEO and engage with our target audience through thought leadership content.
11. Support the Marketing Manager in curating topics, writing scripts, and procuring guests for in-house podcasts.
12. Assist with other marketing-related tasks and responsibilities as necessary.
13. Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint)
14. Experience with photo and graphics editing software, such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
15. Knowledge of SMMS.
16. Experience with WordPress preferred.
17. Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM Software preferred.
18. Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and AdWords preferred.
19. Experience with HubSpot or other CMS Software preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.
2. Successful track record in marketing roles and creating marketing campaigns.
3. Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
4. Exceptional verbal communication and writing abilities.
5. Proficiency in HTML, content management systems, design software and social media strategy.
6. Desire to grow professionally with ongoing education.
7. Willingness to travel (up to 5-10%) for trade shows, training, etc.
