The Department of Global Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for one (1) full-time academic professional track (non-tenure) Lecturer position in French language with a 9-month academic appointment beginning in January 2027.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach four (4) courses per semester in French language, from the Beginning to the Advanced level, and to contribute to program building in French studies and academic service appropriate to the mission of the department and university. Depending on program needs, there may also be opportunity to teach additional courses.
The Department of Global Languages and Cultures offers degrees/programs in modern languages and Classics, and graduate degrees in Hispanic Studies, in addition to offering undergraduate minors in African Studies, Religious Studies, and Jewish Studies. Applicants must have a Master level degree in French by the start date, a PhD in French is preferred. Candidate must have prior experience teaching in a higher education context (at least 2 years' experience is desirable; TA experience acceptable).
