TITLE: Digital Communications/Website Specialist
DIVISION: Communications
REPORTS TO: Director of Communications
JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the day-to-day communications efforts of PFB and County Farm Bureaus. Assists in enhancing the digital footprint of PFB by maintaining the PFB website while providing strong graphic design elements. Assists in the designing and distribution of print and digital promotional materials. This is an exempt, salaried position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in maintaining and updating Pennsylvania Farm Bureau websites, including but not limited to updating copy, photos, designing new web pages, uploading press releases and news items, newsletters, performing plug-in updates, etc.
· Create visually appealing signage and infographics for PFB’s Annual Meeting tradeshows, events and more.
· Assist in the designing and layout of PFB’s membership publication, Positively Pennsylvania.
· Assist with the layout of PFB’s Annual Meeting program.
· Create and keep membership materials up to date, including brochures, flyers, one-pagers, etc.
· Create visually appealing graphics for use on social media, print materials and Positively Pennsylvania.
· Assist in creating social media toolkits to be utilized by County Farm Bureaus.
· Create and assist in the management of advertising campaigns.
· Assist with and manage email marketing through group email outreach via Constant Contact or other vendor; maintain database and methods of contact.
· Use Constant Contact for the distribution of county and state level communications, sending out county newsletters and requested membership emails as necessary.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field of study
· Strong written and verbal communications skills with ability to effectively promote a brand, ideas, etc.
· Familiarity with WordPress, social media platforms, analytic reporting
· Self-motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
· Experience with online email marketing tools or related software, and maintaining email lists
· Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and Illustrator
· Familiarity with agriculture
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Valid PA Driver’s License
· Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
· Working during non-traditional office hours will at times be required
TELECOMMUTE OPTION: Primarily a Camp Hill office position with up to 20% potential to work from home with Manager approval. Some travel throughout Pennsylvania (with possible overnight stays) to attend meetings, Farm Bureau events, seminars, and other related events.
