About the Role
A leading publisher of books on the politics and practice of sustainable living is seeking an Editorial Assistant to work closely with the Senior Managing Editor and the wider editorial team. The role involves managing workflow, keeping the publishing program organized, and supporting a range of editorial and administrative functions.
The editorial assistant copyedits and proofreads to a high standard, reviews incoming submissions, handles copyright and catalog data, and coordinates the work of an editorial intern. The position also involves maintaining book and award databases, making award submission recommendations to the publisher, and supporting trade review submissions. Some publishing experience and an undergraduate degree are strongly preferred.
