Communications Specialist
Location: Brentwood, TN (Hybrid — Onsite Tuesday & Wednesday)
Position Type: Contract (Through June 2027)
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Communications Specialist for a long-term hybrid contract role in Brentwood, TN. This is a hands-on execution position where you will partner closely with communications leadership to create, edit, and deliver high-quality corporate and internal communications.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with 3 to 5 years of core communications experience, capable of taking strategic concepts and independently turning them into polished, final deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and execute a high volume of corporate and internal communication materials across multiple channels.
- Turn strategic direction and leadership messaging into clear, engaging, and publish-ready content.
- Manage end-to-end communication workflows with meticulous attention to detail and proofreading standards.
- Maintain consistency in brand voice, message alignment, and organizational tone across all project touchpoints.
- Independently manage project timelines and deliverables with minimal daily oversight.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on corporate or internal communications experience (Specialist level).
- Core Competencies: Exceptional writing, editing, messaging, and project management skills.
- Work Style: Highly organized, responsive, and able to operate independently while producing work directly (this is an execution role, not a team-management position).
- Work Model: Ability to work onsite in Brentwood, TN on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with remaining days worked remotely.
Preferred Experience
- Strong background in Change Management, M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions), or Organizational Restructuring/Reorganization communications.
- Experience driving employee engagement initiatives during periods of corporate transition.
