TITLE: Communication and Marketing Content Creator
SUPERVISOR: Director of Communication
JOB OVERVIEW: The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is looking for a proactive Content Creator with the curiosity and drive to help research and develop engaging content that tells the story of The Food Bank and our constituents. This self-starter will help produce and distribute print and digital assets to a wide range of audiences. From designing engaging and visual marketing pieces to capturing stories about our day-to-day efforts that help feed 100,000 neighbors each month, the Content Creator will improve brand awareness through strong storytelling, design and creative communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the strategic guidance of the Director of Communication:
- Support development (research, write and design) and distribution of impactful, creative content for use across platforms in fulfillment of the editorial calendar.
- Adapt key messages into materials that meet the needs of diverse audiences, including internal constituents, media, partner agencies, donors, volunteers, neighbors and more.
- Provide copywriting, design, print, video and publication advice and support for day-to-day communication needs of The Food Bank team members.
- Uphold brand standards to ensure The Food Bank is represented appropriately.
- Contribute to strategic planning, with an emphasis on the needs of those we serve.
- Other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional written communication, editing skills, grammar and knowledge of AP Style.
- Understanding of graphic design principles and common communication tools.
- Highly collaborative with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in communication, journalism, English, creative writing or similar programs.
- Portfolio of relevant past projects helpful.
- Comfortable in Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
- Knowledge in the area of food insecurity or charitable organizations is a bonus.
This position is located on-site; remote work is not considered for this role.
