We're hiring a full-time Content Designer / Author with CMS expertise and agency experience to join our Production team. In this role, you'll build and optimize web pages, primarily in Contentful, prepare digital assets, and partner with Creative, Account and Production teams to bring client work to life — accurately, on brand and on schedule. This role can be based (hybrid) Chicago or St. Joseph, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Build and optimize web pages in Contentful, translating approved page mockups into live site pages that match design intent and brand standards.
- Slice, resize and export image assets from provided design files for web, blog and other digital channels.
- Work closely with Production leadership as well as other departments such as Creative and Account to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Understand visual/written & verbal instructions. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and have the ability to organize & schedule work effectively.
- Balance multiple projects with overlapping priorities and varying degrees of urgency.
- Troubleshoot creative and technical challenges to find effective, thorough solutions.
- Adopt new tools and practices as the work evolves, communicating changes to the team so processes stay consistent.
- Present work internally with support of creative leadership.
Requirements;
- 2+ minimum years of hands-on CMS expertise, (AEM, Contentful, etc.), in an agency environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Experience creating content for digital platforms — e-commerce or D2C experience strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret visual, written and verbal direction, and to organize and schedule your own work
- A knack for connecting the dots and solving problems before they surface
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for minor updates to existing custom code preferred

The annual salary range for this role in the Chicago market is $65k-$75k in base pay, and the base pay offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on experience, skills, training, certifications, education, etc., and will be informed by market data.
