Currently, we have a challenging position for an Associate Editor, United States Tax at the IBFD Knowledge Centre North America.
The position is in IBFD's Knowledge Centre North America which is responsible for the US content of IBFD's Tax Research Platform and publications as well as client information and research on tax and investment matters.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- You will be engaged as an Associate Editor for the North America tax technical team and in-house specialist for the United States;
- You will be a member of IBFD Knowledge Centre, and will contribute US tax expertise to IBFD projects concerning the United States.
Editorial Management
- Tax technical research and editorial support for US content on the IBFD Tax Research Platform both at the federal and state levels;
- Writing, editing, and providing content for IBFD publications, including country commentaries and reports for IBFD Tax News Service (TNS);
- Expansion of US federal and US state content to enhance monitoring and reporting on key tax developments in United States;
- Researching and analysing international tax treaties, national tax laws, and government regulations and guidance;
- Participating in IBFD research projects on matters concerning US taxation.
Training And Other Activities
- Assistance with developing IBFD courses and IBFD training in the United States;
- Assisting IBFD’s Sales and Marketing teams with training for North America clients;
- Supporting other major IBFD Departments, including: IBFD Tax Training and Tax Courses, IBFD Government Consultancy Department (GCD) and IBFD Academic Department.
Profile
Knowledge And Experience
- University degree in law, accounting or related areas (LLM or other post-graduate degree in taxation is a plus) or extensive tax research and editing experience;
- Knowledge of tax and investment systems of the United States at both US federal and US state levels;
- Excellent writing and editorial skills;
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a group team member;
- Ability to provide accurate, reliable tax information.
