Description
Front Office Sports is seeking an experienced, highly organized Production Manager to serve as a three-month backfill supporting our fast-moving multimedia organization. This person will be the operational backbone for video productions across daily programming, social-first content, field shoots, branded work, live events, and tentpole coverage.
The ideal candidate is equal parts producer, project manager, and problem-solver: someone who can build a plan, manage the details, keep teams informed, and calmly solve for the inevitable changes that happen in production. You will help ensure FOS teams have the people, equipment, schedules, budgets, and logistical support needed to create high-quality work efficiently.
This is a 3-month short term 1099 contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day production operations across FOS video, social, studio, branded, and event productions
- Build and maintain production calendars, shoot schedules, call sheets, crew plans, and run-of-show documents
- Coordinate freelance crews, vendors, studios, equipment rentals, travel, permits, releases, vendor agreements, insurance requirements, and other production logistics
- Serve as a central operational point of contact between editorial, video, social, talent, sales, creative, finance, and external production partners
- Manage production budgets, estimates, purchase orders, invoices, expenses, and reconciliations in partnership with finance and department leadership
- Support the operational needs of daily and recurring programming, including Front Office Sports Tonight, while ensuring field productions and social shoots remain on track
- Anticipate production risks and create practical contingency plans for schedule changes, travel disruptions, staffing gaps, equipment needs, and last-minute editorial pivots
- Maintain organized production documentation, vendor records, rate cards, crew contacts, equipment inventories, templates, and shared project trackers
- Help uphold production standards around safety, releases, rights, brand requirements, and talent/partner obligations
- Identify ways to improve workflows, reduce unnecessary costs, and make it easier for creative teams to move quickly without sacrificing quality
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 5+ years of production management, line producing, or production operations experience in digital media, television, live events, agency, or sports media
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple productions at once, often on tight timelines and with shifting priorities
- Strong command of production budgeting, scheduling, crew/vendor management, travel logistics, equipment rentals, and expense reconciliation
- Experience supporting studio, field, live, and social-first productions
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style; you are comfortable working across creative, editorial, commercial, and operational teams
- Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort operating independently.
- A calm, solutions-first approach when plans change
- Familiarity with sports media, talent-driven content, and branded production is a plus
