Position Overview
The Marketing Events Coordinator supports attorneys across the firm by managing the end-to-end process for marketing event requests, including approvals, budgeting, and payment coordination. This role also maintains and updates a variety of external and internal messaging platforms to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely communications.
Roles & Responsibilities
Event Coordination and Approval Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for attorney-submitted event requests tied to personal marketing and business development activities
- Manage the full event approval workflow, from initial request intake through final sign-off, ensuring compliance with firm policies and budget guidelines
- Track and process event-related expenses and invoices, coordinating with accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payment
- Maintain a centralized event calendar and request log to track status, deadlines, and spend across all pending and approved events
- Communicate proactively with attorneys regarding the status of their event requests, required documentation, and reimbursement timelines
- Research event opportunities, sponsorships, and relevant industry conferences that align with attorney practice areas and business development goals
Messaging and Portal Management
- Update and maintain content across marketing and communications platforms, which may include the firm website, attorney directories, CLE portals, ranking and directory submissions, and internal intranets
- Ensure attorney profiles, practice area pages, and related content are accurate and current
- Coordinate with attorneys and practice group leaders to gather content updates and approvals in a timely manner
- Support the marketing team with drafting and distributing event-related communications, invitations, and follow-up materials
General Marketing Support
- Assist with tracking ROI and reporting on event activity and attorney participation
- Support additional marketing projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing coordination, events management, or a related role; experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines simultaneously
- Familiarity with content management systems, CRM platforms, or marketing portals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Knowledge of Canva and Trello are plusses
- Ability to work independently and manage relationships with senior professionals, including attorneys
