Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Communications Manager to be a trusted communications partner and to independently execute internal communications across our network of 94 Medicare Advantage clinics. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, you’ll support a rapidly evolving healthcare organization through operational change, rebranding and improvements to its communications infrastructure.
This role is for a self-starter: a strong writer and creative storyteller who builds relationships with executives, market leaders and clinic staff, and who can take a project from concept through implementation and measurable results with minimal direction.
What you’ll do
- Write and edit employee messages, newsletters, intranet stories, FAQs, presentations, video scripts and campaigns in a clear, approachable voice
- Tailor communications for physicians, nurses, clinic teams, market leaders and executives, leading with concise headlines and relevant detail
- Support change and rebranding communications, explaining what is changing, why it matters and what clinic teams need to do, while keeping frequency right so frontline teams aren’t overwhelmed
- Manage editorial calendars, approvals, distribution lists and publishing schedules, and help build more scalable distribution processes
- Prepare talking points, presentations and toolkits for leaders, and support town halls and leadership communications
- Partner with Operations, Clinical Leadership, HR, Marketing, Compliance, Legal and Technology
- Own projects end to end, from scoping through measurement, and use feedback to improve what works
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, business or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in internal, corporate, change or healthcare communications
- Exceptional, demonstrated writing and editing skills, including the ability to simplify complex information
- Proven ability to build relationships with executives, market leaders and frontline staff
- Strong storytelling, original thinking and curiosity, with experience managing multichannel content, reviews and distribution
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and handle sensitive information in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel between Tampa, Orlando and surrounding clinic locations as needed up to 30%.
Preferred
- Healthcare, Medicare Advantage, value-based care, multisite or other regulated-industry experience
- Experience communicating with clinicians, frontline employees or geographically dispersed teams
- Familiarity with employee communication platforms, SharePoint, distribution tools and analytics
- Spanish-language capability or knowledge of Florida markets
