Resound, a branding and marketing agency, crafts unique brand experiences for B2B clients within the professional services sector. Our expertise spans developing corporate brand identities, websites, content (including video, newsletter, articles), ad management, and outreach campaigns.

We're looking for a versatile WordPress Developer & Creative Specialist who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technical execution. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of hands-on experience building custom WordPress sites with Divi, along with a strong foundation in graphic design across both digital and print mediums. You'll be crafting everything from highly-customized responsive websites to compelling social media graphics, working directly with our Chief Creative Officer to bring brands to life.

This role is perfect for a natural problem-solver who enjoys the challenge of turning complex design requirements into polished, user-friendly solutions, and who takes pride in seeing projects through from concept to completion. We value self-starters who can make educated decisions independently while collaborating effectively with our content and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

The ideal developer and creative specialist will bring experience in executing a variety of web building and design activities, including (but not limited to) building websites on WordPress using Divi, wireframing, graphic design, print design, photo editing, light video editing, social media graphic design, logo design concepting, content writing, as well as other creative services. This role reports directly to the Chief Creative Officer who leads all creative execution for the agency.

Key Activities

Design and build highly-custom responsive websites using Divi on WordPress.
Design and build responsive websites on other platforms like Hubspot.
Troubleshoot website issues using third party support, WP Engine support, etc.
Build wireframes and prototypes to show design ideas and user flows.
Develop print materials like business cards, brochures, posters, and branded collateral.
Design graphics for social media, email campaigns, and blog posts.
Design print and social media graphics using Canva.
Collaborate with content and marketing teams to create visually compelling materials.
Contribute to the creation of brand identities, including logos, typography, and color.
Maintain and update existing websites and digital assets.
Coordinate with writers and strategists to integrate content into designs.
Participate in marketing and client meetings, providing design insights and support.
Execute research including competitor design analysis, current trends, and user feedback.
Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Design compelling Youtube thumbnails
Support the Chief Creative Officer in refining and improving design processes and tools.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in WordPress website building using Divi.
Strong portfolio showcasing highly-custom websites built using Divi and third party plugins.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere), Canva and Figma.
Ability to create both web and print-ready designs with attention to detail.
Knowledge of user-centered design principles and user experience design.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong desire to troubleshoot website issues until they are resolved.
Willingness to learn new skills, systems, and software.
Willingness to make educated guesses and decisions on your own.
Take projects and tasks seriously and bring them to completion.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for troubleshooting or minor site tweaks.
Basic knowledge of AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT.
Experience with animation or motion graphics (Adobe After Effects).
Experience Publishing on Youtube.
Understanding of SEO basics and how design impacts website performance.
Familiarity with branding and marketing strategies.

Hours & Location

Resound is based in Gilbert, Arizona. We have a strong desire to hire locally but could make an exception for applicants who are in a similar timezone (1-hour difference or less).

Compensation

Salary: $60,000 per year.
