O'Hara Interiors is seeking a part-time Minneapolis-based Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role will focus heavily on social media, email marketing, graphic design, and photoshoot support. This role will require 4-5 hours per day, four days per week.

As a Marketing Coordinator:

You are working with our marketing director who will support and train you in, as you hit the ground running. While the current role focuses on social media, email marketing, and graphic design, jobs do evolve and new responsibilities may be added over time. We are searching for someone who enjoys a balance of hands-on creativity and behind-the-screen analytics.

Role Description

Social Media & Digital Marketing, 10-hrs per week

Create daily content for the MOI social accounts: Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest;
Collect and edit video for social posting;
Make data-based decisions regarding content creation, posting, and engagement;
Stay on top of social media trends and best practices;
Review usage of OHI photography for proper credits and links;

Email Marketing & Blog Posting, 4-hrs per week

Manually initiate post-project email sequence to clients on a monthly schedule;
Prepare and distribute the monthly email newsletter;
Size graphics, upload, and publish blog posts twice per month (content provided by team writer);

Photo Shoot Support, 12-hrs per quarter

Help with photo shoot prep logistics;
Assist with styling for photo shoots;
Take photos and video on shoots (to supplement our professional photography);

General Marketing, 3-hrs per week

Attend relevant team and marketing meetings;
Seek new ways to optimize our branding and marketing processes;
Help Business Development team with analytics and graphic design requests as time allows (with marketing director's approval);
Assist in other projects as needed by our marketing director.

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for a team player who is ready to learn but requires no hand-holding to see a job through to completion.

1-2 years of experience in marketing and/or digital marketing
Experience with social media marketing and website analytics
Experience and comfort with graphic design for content creation and other marketing collateral
Proficient in Adobe Suite - particularly, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom & Photoshop
Proficient in Canva
Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-up
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills & Experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, a plus
Experience with Planoly and/or Active Campaign a plus
Experience blogging or writing for lifestyle publications, a plus
Interior design industry experience, a plus
