Heavy, a leading sports news and information website, is looking to partner with a hard-charging freelance editor to oversee the publishing, creative development and expansion of its daily fantasy sports (DFS) newsletter, dfsPro Daily.

The goal: Expand this new, NFL-centric newsletter (and its small team of freelance writers) across other major U.S. sports leagues, focusing on delivering unique, quick-hitting DFS insights and recommendations to its readers. We want to make people smarter DFS players so they can increase their winnings.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

A passion for and track record competing in daily fantasy sports
Deep understanding of DFS, its users, fantasy stats and platforms
Wide-ranging knowledge across major U.S. leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, etc.)
Experience with professional sports coverage, newsletters and/or copy editing
Proven ability to vet, verify and confirm information
Openness to AI, new technology and a data-first approach
Strong multi-tasking, organization, communication and creative skills

**Bonus points for experience with basic graphic design tools (i.e. Canva) and/or email marketing platforms (i.e. Campaign Monitor).

Work autonomously and remotely.
