Troy Consulting, a Management Consulting Firm, is seeking an enterprising individual to join our growing team of Consultants as a Part-Time Digital Media Specialist with our client in Redmond, WA. This is a remote position and 20 hours/week.

Job Description:

An Editorial team at a leading global software company is seeking a creative, collaborative, and self-driven digital media specialist to assist in telling design-centered stories and organically grow our digital community. An understanding of social media trends and a love for the arts is critical, as is the ability to craft copy that’s both pithy and poignant.

Under our Social Media Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the creating of the overall social media strategy for Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and more, growing the community through creative experiences, contests, and events, all while actively engaging our customers.

As a small team, you’ll be an integral member with the ability to help author copy across channels and lead video efforts on new channels like YouTube. We’re in the process of building a brand-new website and social media is a key extension of this effort, enabling us to tell stories from multiple angles. As such, we hope you can bring a general digital media savviness in helping to author copy across our digital channels considering things like SEO.

And as for the ‘we,’ our team includes a motley crew of artists, poets, authors, activists, and parents (of both two and four legged critters). Our culture and process is cohesive yet fluid, coming together to strategize and brainstorm and then fanning out to tell stories in our own ways.

Responsibilities:

Creation of a weekly design-related current events newsletter for the team to consider in crafting an editorial calendar
Social media and digital media programmatic coordination. Helping to organize conversations with stakeholders and digital programs like Microsoft Design Week
Assist in the producing of a asocial video program and its content
Quarterly analytics reports to share with stakeholders along with bi-weekly analytics updates for the social media lead
Authoring weekly social copy across all (not all at once ) social media channels
Social media channel admin upkeep (updating channel highlights, bio, etc.)
Execute paid social media campaigns on Instagram and Twitter
Assist in conversing with stakeholders
Support project management/producing of social media assets
Weekly community management across social media channels (Ins
Support creating copy and advising content + SEO strategy for an upcoming website

Skills:

3+ years of experience managing social media brand channels in fields relating to the arts or technology.
Experience with Social Media Management tools like Sprinklr
Experience running paid social media campaign.
Proven history of developing creative social campaigns, and experience in the use of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.
An ambidextrous thinker who is creative, analytical, and takes pride in their craftsmanship.
A basic graphic design knowledge with tools like Figma and Adobe Illustrator
