Position Summary
The community support resources coordinator is a full-time position responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers for the Here For Texas Mental Health Navigation Line, leading and coordinating peer support groups in Spanish and English, maintaining and growing the HereForTexas.com provider database, and assisting with administrative and special projects as assigned by the associate director of mental health resources.
Primary Responsibilities
Mental Health Navigation Line
· Work with the volunteer coordinator to plan and implement Navigation Line volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition, including the monthly Navigator Newsletter
· Manage the Here For Texas Mental Health Navigation Line volunteer application process by reviewing materials, interviewing applicants, conducting reference checks, and processing background checks
· Schedule, organize, and prepare materials and outreach initiatives for volunteer training sessions
Support Groups
· Lead peer support groups in Spanish and English for mothers or parents who have a child with emotional, behavioral, or mental health struggles by using current curriculum and creating new content based on group needs
· Lead the coordination of existing groups and develop community relationships for additional groups
Database of Mental Health Providers
· Maintain and grow the HereForTexas.com provider database
· Provide technical support to new and current HereForTexas.com providers to keep their information up-to-date
Other Duties
· Work with the vice president of communications to develop and distribute Here For Texas promotional materials through outreach events, social media, and email marketing to engage potential Here For Texas volunteers, providers, and callers
· Answer incoming Navigation Line calls as needed to provide information and support to callers in need of mental health or substance use resources
Essential Skills and Experience
· Must be fluent in English and Spanish
· Prior experience in volunteer management preferred
· Prior mental health related experience required and facilitating support groups preferred
· Proficiency in using various technology apps and platforms (i.e. Microsoft Office, Airtable, Constant Contact, iCarol)
· Excellent interpersonal skills necessary for interaction with staff, donors, volunteers, mental health providers, and community agencies
· Commitment to agency vision, core values, and mission
· Strong organizational and project management skills
· Superior skills in written and verbal communications
· Detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate in all work
· In accordance with Grant Halliburton Foundation’s teamwork philosophy, demonstrated ability to assist with projects in various departments
Preferred Education
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
Salary: $48 - $50,000
FLSA: Exempt – Salaried; Full-time
Work Hours: Monday – Friday from 10AM – 6PM (hybrid)
Reports to: AssociateDirector of Mental Health Resources, Grant Halliburton Foundation
Physical Requirements
The Here for Texas program manager must have the ability to spend time seated, the dexterity to perform computer keyboard functions, the ability to stand for long periods of time to make presentations and speak to groups, and the ability to lift 50 pounds to carry and distribute materials to the community and set up and break down program materials.
The employee must have reliable transportation.

About the Mental Health Navigation Line
The Here For Texas Mental Health Navigation Line assists individuals with finding appropriate care for mental illnesses. This no-cost service is a critical extension of HereForTexas.com, a website available in English and Spanish, featuring a searchable database of North Texas mental health providers and resources.
We train Mental Health Navigators to help callers identify appropriate resources and options in care to meet their needs, while also offering encouragement and emotional support. This information is needed not only by individuals, but also by families, schools, hospitals, employers, clergy, criminal justice departments, community agencies and mental health providers. The Navigation Line operates five days a week during normal business hours in English and Spanish via telephone, text, email, and chat. Our Mental Health Navigators are volunteers trained in case management and mental health education.
