Position Summary:
The Training Coordinator at the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) will monitor training courses taught virtually and in the classroom to include planning and implementing training programs, policies, and procedures. The Training Coordinator works with the Training Team, CTAA’s contracted subject matter experts and reports directly to the Training and Certification Program Director. This position includes occasional travel such as to CTAA’s annual industry EXPO conference.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consistently reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of client, the organization, or the community transportation industry.
- Regular contact and engagement with current CTAA customers to ensure we are listening and responding to the Community transportation needs
- Works with a Learning Management System (LMS) platform and software to ensure continuous operation of integrated platforms.
- Responsible for uploading & managing integrity of online courses & testing material, including configuration of retesting and milestone systems.
- Works with customized software platform to ensure timely and accurate entry of testing and trainer data.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the industry.
- Sets up Zoom meetings for scheduled training classes, serving as host, assisting attendees with tech related issues
- Works with webmaster to ensure training information remains current on the training page.
- Establishes and maintains continuous contact with trainers and customers regarding status of scheduled training classes
- Reconciles financial statements and reports for classroom and virtual courses
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could incorporate into curriculum.
- Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
- Works with existing trainers to ensure full knowledge and understanding of CTAA’s exam reporting system
- Ensures monthly Training newsletter promoting training course schedule is sent to Communications Director and review analytic report to present findings to training team
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to reach out to and work with members/customers.
- Thorough understanding of training processes.
- Ability to moderate large groups.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Administrative and data entry skills required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Experience developing presentation material
- Basic familiarity with the principles of Instructional Design
Work Environment:
- Ability to work from home with telework as part of the weekly schedule.
- Open space work environment.
Education and Experience:
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Education, Business Administration or related area. Associates Degree with commensurate experience working with training programs.
- Training and/or certification program experience a plus.
Salary and Benefit Information:
- Salary Range $55,000- $72,000 (commensurate with experience)
