Social Media Operations Manager – Red Apple Media, Inc.
This role is for a skilled and experienced Social Media Operations Manager based in New York City. The individual will oversee the Social Media department and manage media operations across the Red Apple Media brand, including the flagship WABC Radio (#1 AM station), as well as its sister stations, and the in- house syndication network, advertising agency and podcast network. Reporting to senior leadership, this role requires a dynamic professional who can lead strategic social media initiatives and coordinate multimedia content. This is a full-time, in-person role in New York, New York.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all daily social media operations across individual show accounts, including content planning, strategizing, creation, scheduling, and publishing.
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to drive brand growth, audience engagement, and performance optimization using platform best practices and emerging trends.
- Oversee content distribution including breaking news, video clips, audiograms, podcast episodes, and guest appearances.
- Collaborate closely with on-air talent and production teams to curate engaging, brand-consistent content.
- Execute and analyze paid social media campaigns in coordination with account executives and client directives, using analytics and reporting to guide performance improvements.
- Utilize CMS platforms and app systems to support digital updates and maintain accurate content schedules.
- Maintain analytics dashboards and Google spreadsheets to track social media and web traffic performance metrics.
- Produce specialized graphics for videos, guest appearances, and social promotions.
- Serve as liaison among senior leadership, department heads, sales, and staff to execute strategic initiatives and fulfill media obligations tied to client sales packages.
- Curate and distribute newsletters with integrated ad placements aligned with sponsorship deals.
- Attend station events as required by executive leadership to facilitate social media promotion.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Demonstrated experience leading social media strategy and execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in social media marketing tools, performance analytics, and paid campaign management.
- Solid understanding of multimedia production workflows (video, audio, graphic content).
- Familiarity with CMS systems, newsletter tools, and Google Analytics.
- High level of creativity, professionalism, and initiative.
Education/Experience:
- 3–5 years of media operations and social media management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience in media or entertainment preferred.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience.
