Marketing & Membership Coordinator
St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers (SLC3)
Location: St. Louis, MO (in-person with flexibility)
Reports to: Executive Director
Summary
Ready to flex your marketing muscles and build relationships that power the St. Louis construction community? The St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers (SLC3) is seeking a Marketing & Membership Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and is eager to grow with us.
You’ll support the day-to-day marketing needs of the Council, manage communications and social media, assist with event promotion, and serve as a key resource for our valued members. The right candidate will possess a strong creative streak, excellent communication skills, top-notch customer service instincts, and a passion for managing multiple projects simultaneously without showing it.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Manage SLC3 marketing materials: social media content, flyers, newsletters, blogs, presentations, signage, and promotional materials.
- Create and schedule content for social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Manage email campaigns and member communications through GrowthZone and Constant Contact.
- Maintain and update the SLC3 website (WordPress experience helpful).
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans and campaigns.
- Track and report analytics from marketing efforts.
- Serve as a brand ambassador at internal and external events.
- Oversees sponsorships and directly supports sponsorship attainment
Membership Engagement
- Support member onboarding and maintain member records.
- Assist the Membership Committee and Emerging Leaders Committee in driving member engagement and growth.
- Respond to member inquiries with white-glove service.
- Attend SLC3 events to foster relationships and recruit new members.
Event Support
- Collaborate with the Event Manager and Event Coordinator on logistics and event promotion.
- Assist with event materials, signage, scripts, and on-site coordination.
- Help create event themes and decorations (think: Pinterest meets project management).
- Support significant signature events, including the Golf, Awards Gala, Clay Shoot, and Workshops.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, PR, or related field).
- 2+ years’ experience in a marketing, communications, or membership role.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Creativity and a can-do attitude.
- Reliable transportation and ability to lift to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to work some evenings/early mornings as needed.
- Leadership and go-getter personality
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Canva and Constant Contact.
- Familiarity with GrowthZone and WordPress.
- Appreciation for (or curiosity about) architecture, engineering, and construction industries, or AEC Industry experience
- Previous newsletter experience
