Join our mission-driven team as a Digital Marketing & Social Media Intern and help amplify the voices of Atlanta's incredible artists while building a movement that values community over profit. You'll develop comprehensive digital marketing skills by creating compelling content that showcases intimate live music experiences, educates audiences about artist economic justice, and builds an engaged community around our artist-first values.
This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit storytelling, social media strategy, and community engagement while contributing to meaningful change in how artists are supported and compensated. You'll work directly with our leadership team to develop content that not only promotes concerts but advances our mission of creating sustainable economic opportunities for musicians.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy
- Develop and execute monthly content calendars aligned with concert schedule and organizational goals
- Create engaging posts, stories, reels, and graphics that reflect Snug Concerts' grassroots yet professional brand voice
- Write compelling captions that educate audiences about artist economic justice while promoting intimate concert experiences
- Collaborate with photographers and videographers to curate visual content that captures the magic of our events
- Design graphics and promotional materials using brand guidelines and available design tools
Community Engagement & Growth
- Manage daily community engagement through thoughtful responses to comments and direct messages
- Monitor and analyze engagement metrics, preparing monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations
- Research and engage with Atlanta music community, local artists, and aligned organizations to expand reach
- Assist with email newsletter creation and distribution via Mailchimp, including audience segmentation strategies
- Cross-promote content with artists and community partners to amplify mutual support
Mission Advancement
- Create educational content about fair artist pay and the economics of live music
- Develop storytelling campaigns that highlight artist experiences and community impact
- Document and share the authentic connections formed at Snug Concerts between artists and audiences
- Support fundraising campaigns and donor appreciation initiatives through strategic social media content
Mentorship & Professional Development
- Weekly one-on-one meetings with Co-Founder/Executive Director for strategic guidance and skill development
- Participation in organizational planning discussions and marketing strategy sessions
- Access to Atlanta arts and nonprofit professional networks through introductions and event invitations
- Portfolio development support with feedback on content creation and campaign strategy
- Professional reference and letter of recommendation upon successful completion
- Potential pathway to paid Program Manager role based on performance and organizational growth
Ideal Candidate
Academic Background
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Arts Administration, or related field
- Coursework in social media marketing, content creation, or nonprofit communications preferred
- Interest in arts advocacy, community organizing, or social impact work
Skills & Experience
- Strong writing abilities with attention to voice, tone, and audience engagement
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube content creation and best practices
- Basic design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
- Understanding of social media analytics and willingness to learn data analysis
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines consistently
