Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our marketing team. This role will support our digital presence by managing social media platforms, posting content to our website, creating marketing content for LinkedIn, utilizing graphic design skills, and contributing to our monthly newsletter. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital marketing, has strong communication skills, and is eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and post engaging content across social media platforms (e.g., Linkedin Instagram) to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Website Content Updates: Assist in uploading and formatting content on the company website, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and optimizing for SEO.
- LinkedIn Marketing: Develop and post professional marketing content on the company’s LinkedIn page to promote events, updates, and thought leadership pieces.
- Graphic Design: Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and other visual assets for social media, website, and newsletter campaigns using tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Newsletter Contribution: Assist in writing, editing, and curating content for the company’s monthly newsletter, ensuring alignment with brand voice and marketing goals.
- Analytics Support: Monitor social media and website analytics to track performance, report insights, and suggest improvements.
- Content Ideation: Brainstorm creative content ideas for campaigns, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a college or university program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and their best practices.
- Basic graphic design skills with experience using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail in writing and editing.
- Experience or interest in content management systems (e.g., WordPress) for website updates.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of LinkedIn as a professional networking and marketing platform is a plus.
- Basic understanding of SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social) is preferred but not required.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
Additional Information
Time Commitment: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week (flexible with academic schedules).
Location: Remote or hybrid (depending on company needs).
