About the Position:
GYC Vegas is currently searching for an entry-level PR & Operations Assistant to support our agency operations in a unique, remote, independent environment. This behind-the-scenes role focuses on internal agency support, providing essential services that keep our team running efficiently while building foundational public relations experience. You'll work directly with our team to manage agency-owned content, maintain critical databases, support client services, and contribute to our operational excellence across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and post content for agency's owned social media channels
- Research, write, and publish agency blog posts and thought leadership content
- Manage and maintain the agency's CRM database of VIP contacts and media relationships
- Format and distribute press releases through our CRM system
- Draft and distribute the agency's monthly newsletter highlighting agency and client achievements
- Create and distribute bimonthly client roster media advisories
- Monitor and clip client news coverage across various media outlets
- Develop comprehensive client campaign reports and performance summaries
- Film b-roll footage and conduct client interviews for media relations assets
- Assist with event planning, coordination, and execution
- Manage and optimize agency tools and technology stack
- Provide additional administrative and support duties as needed
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism & Media Studies
- Previous public relations internship experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
- Confident speaking and communication skills
- Canva for graphic design and basic video editing skills; experience with social media scheduling tools a plus
- Strong business and creative writing skills with demonstrated ability to write for various audiences
- Strong attention to detail, project and workflow management
- Ability to work independently and take initiative within a remote team environment
- Excellent research skills and the ability to be resourceful
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with basic MS Office programs including Word and Excel, plus CRM and content management systems
- Experience with media monitoring and reporting tools preferred
- Candidate MUST live in Las Vegas
