I’m seeking a creative, organized, and tech-savvy Science Communication & Social Media Intern to help translate my research into engaging, accessible content for broad audiences. My work as a faculty member at the University of South Florida focuses on career development, workforce innovation, and technology entrepreneurship, bridging psychology, education, and business. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who enjoys storytelling, research translation, and digital engagement.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a content plan (LinkedIn, website, possible newsletter) that communicates key research insights and milestones.
- Translate academic findings (e.g., on career resources, entrepreneurship, negotiation, or platform growth) into short, engaging posts and visuals.
- Create or adapt graphics, infographics, and brief summaries using tools like Canva or Adobe Express.
- Support outreach related to talks, workshops, and events.
- Analyze audience engagement and help refine outreach strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in science communication, psychology, education, or entrepreneurship.
- Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Experience with social media management (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, or Instagram).
- Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or basic graphic design preferred.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- International or cross-cultural awareness is a plus.
Compensation and Duration
- Paid internship at $18/hour, approximately 10 hours per week (based on $750–800/month for 2–3 months; total compensation $1,500–2,000).
- Flexible schedule; remote or hybrid possible.
- Includes a strong letter of recommendation upon successful completion and opportunities to gain international experience through collaboration with Swiss and U.S. research partners.
Why Join
You’ll gain practical experience in science communication, research branding, and strategic outreach, working directly with a U.S. faculty researcher engaged in global academic and entrepreneurial networks. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and build a professional portfolio.
