Our Vision 2030 strategy is clear: expand access to independent local news across all of Tarrant County, grow our digital reach to more than one million monthly readers and 250,000 newsletter subscribers, and achieve a sustainable $5 million annual budget supported by diverse revenue streams. We rely on the support of readers, sponsors, and partners who share our vision for a more informed and engaged Fort Worth.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and mission-driven Partnerships Manager to grow earned revenue and create partnerships that connect businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders with our journalism.

● Strengthen FWR’s long-term sustainability as a trusted civic institution. Key Responsibilities
● Build and maintain trust-based partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders across Tarrant County.
● Develop creative marketing and sponsorship campaigns that align with FWR’s mission and Vision 2030 goals, including community engagement events, newsletters, branded content, and digital platforms.
● Use audience insights and data to demonstrate impact, optimize campaigns, and deepen partner investment.
● Collaborate across teams (editorial, audience, development, and operations) to deliver effective campaigns that exceed client expectations.
● Prospect, pitch, and close partnerships that drive FWR toward its 2030 sustainability goals:
○ Expanding reach into underserved communities.
○ Growing earned revenue toward $1 million annually from sponsorships and promotions.
○ Supporting initiatives that strengthen civic participation and community connection.
● Represent Fort Worth Report at community events, forums, and partner gatherings.
Success Metrics
● Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
● Contribute to Vision 2030 benchmarks, including:
○ Driving growth in earned revenue toward $1M+ annually.
○ Expanding partnerships tied to geographic coverage hubs and engagement events.
○ Increasing reach to younger and more diverse audiences across Tarrant County. ● High levels of client retention and satisfaction, with repeat partnerships year over year.
Qualifications
● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or partnership revenue goals.
● 3+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, or marketing (digital media or nonprofit experience a plus).
● Strong understanding of digital marketing, audience engagement, and branded content.
● Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
● Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and collaborative.
● Proficiency with CRM and productivity tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).
● Familiarity with project management and collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Airtable, etc.).
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience — we value skills and results over credentials.
● Must reside in the Fort Worth/Tarrant County area with reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
